CHERUBS - The Association of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Research, Awareness and Support

International CDH Study Group

The International Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Study Group is a joint research effort by over 50 hospitals.   Hospitals summit their patient data to a central database, which is then compared to search for the best treatments of CDH.

You can visit the CDHSG at http://www.cdhsg.net/

CHERUBS is proud to work with the hospitals in the International CDH Study Group and to share our research database findings so that together we can help find the cause, prevention and best treatments for CDH.    We had the priviledge to meet and talk with Pam Lally, the CDH Study Group Database Engineer at the APSA Conference in 2009 and again at CHERUBS Conference.   We even had the opportunity to sit down with her and share our databases and findings.   It was both enlightening to know that our database research reinforced both group's finding but also disappointing in that nothing jumped out at us that would further our work in certain areas.   We are very excited to work on our new CDH Research Site and get more long-term data that will help further CDH research for all of us.

Thank you to Drs. Kevin and Pam Lally for all of their support of CHERUBS and for all their dedication to families affected by CDH.

The following hospitals see many cases of CDH a year and participate in research with the International CDH Study Group.   They do not represent all hospital that work with CDH patients.  This list should not be used to chose a particular hospital for your cherub.
