Amanda - well, you have the girls to match Kat's boys - LOL! How is everything? How was the birth - please let me know! I know you were so worried. (When don't we! It is normal for us!) I didn't put anything in this post as far as subsequent child mentioned - but I think we all here are okay with what I wrote. Now for Dawnn and TTC - I'm going to find a fertility stone and send it to you! (A unique woman I know swears that is how she conceived her youngest daughter - in her late 30s. She didn't want another husband, just a child - and I don't even think the father knows about this child! I told you she was unique!) I also want everyone's input on what would be the ideal organization for CDH? What do you think it should do - what should be the mission. The whole thing about research - is that the IRS and US Govt has gotten into medical research. Been to the doctor lately? Have you had to sign those new privacy forms - that is it - and it could be an issue. The survey that CHERUBS has - Cecilia's doctor really questioned some of the questions on it in Feb 2000. Some of the drugs mentioned were too far fetched to have any sort of affect upon a baby conceived today. I think if people want to part of research - and want their names given to be contacted by hospitals conducting research - that would be fine BUT it is a totally personal choice. What I see needed - Help and support for those diagnosed - it becomes a crisis pregnancy that rumbles the entire family. Help and support for those who have a special child - I really would like more survivor's parents involved. Help for guiding parents in the event of a funeral - some sort of packet of info - plus knowing what funeral homes and memorial parks/cemeteries will donate their services. We were NOT charged for Cecilia's funeral services or her burial plot. Any child under 6 months - there is NO charge for curtain funeral homes and memorial parks. I have always wanted to be able to donate something to UVA or other hospitals - those instant hand print kits. (I wished I had one of Cecilia's hands - she had the smallest hands - from Mommy. Big feet were Daddy's!) But there are so many things. Amanda - Connor's Books - I would like that to be a big part of it - not just for one hospital to receive them - but many out there to receive Connor's Books. (I know you chose that one - but perhaps one day so many books could be spread around! High hopes!) Kat, I know you did something for CJ and books too!
