Rick perhaps you can add to this? 1. You do NOT have to put CDH anywhere in the name for it to come up on a search engine. So you all don't have to limit yourselves if you don't want to. When a web site is created the page contains code (html) that tells the search engine, "Hey! This is what this website is all about." Here is a sample of Dawn's code: See, so she has ALL of these little descriptions and adjectives in the code or html that when a person "looks up" any one of these code words on a search engine her site will come up. Like she even put in the word t-shirts, cookbook, etc. So don't limit yourselves. You don't need to. 2. Rick and I know how to place the website onto the search engines so ours will list BEFORE Dawn T's. So don't worry about that part. We, however, may need a group of mom's to write to other sites to have them "link" to ours but that is a loooooooong time away and when Rick and I need help we'll provide instructions on how you can help! :) 3. We can update and put whatever you want on the website at anytime. What is up on the site isn't in concrete and we can change anything. So start coming up with lists or ideas. Rick and I will get together to create a place on the listserv (Yahoo!) where you can post ideas. Or, you can post them here. We WILL take all ideas and try to implement them all. However we will have to create priority so say a parent wants a poem area, until we get the home page created that will have to wait to be created. Make sense? So don't limit yourselves, be creative when creating the name. Be creative in your ideas of what you want on the site. And think of what you would want to do to contribute to the site. Rick and I will create it but we'll need A LOT of writing. Want to submit poems? Want to submit Q&A's? Want to post up where parents can locate information about cdh? Do you have a story to post of your cherub? Do you have special prayers? Do you have information on ECMO that you can share? Do you have a dad's point of view? Anything goes. So brainstorm like mad! :) Rick and I will handle the rest. Rick? Anything else you would want to add? :) Um, I think we'll come up with a family tree of the website first and email it to you all and then you'll have an idea of where we're headed and then you can let us know what is missing and we'll go from there.
