Subject: Breath of Hope .... X-Yahoo-Group-Post: member; u=7232406 X-Yahoo-Profile: doyle_propst Hi all, This is to answer Lise and perhaps clarify something. As of this moment - we are just a listserv - that is all - yes, we are organizing a non-profit that is waiting on Incorporation from the Commonwealth of Virginia - but we have no By Laws. We are just a group of people here - nothing more at this point - well, I would hope that we all are learning from one another and excited by all this. I will NEVER dictate what you can or can not say or who you can or can't contact - I don't think any of us would - even with By Laws and as a Non profit organization. There has been some drama behind the scenes - I do not wish to bring it to the listserv and besides it is nothing. I'm ignoring it because it is absolutely stupid. There is no reason for anyone here to feel like they couldn't mention this listserv - it is NOT unethical - it is just a listserv! Now other listservs have different rules. I have never jumped on and said any of you could not mention CHERUBS or any other entity. I would hope that if you were going to say something bad you would watch yourselves because, as I said there has been some drama - and we have enough drama with life as it is, right? Also, I could tell you all if you have in-law troubles there are many listservs in Yahoo Groups, I belong to "In-laws from Hell" - I'm not very active but there you go - I'm not promoting it and I'm not giving a recommendation. I also belong to Professional Listservs - one is Prospect L for Prospect Researchers. It is a CHOICE. If I shop at Giant Food Stores and I tell a friend about that - is that unethical? If I work at Giant Food Stores and shop at a Food Lion is that unethical? No. It was mentioned that some here were "recruiting" members. I don't think anyone here feels like they were recruited. If you do, please let me know. I was under the impression you all were invited to join a listserv. :-) It isn't unethical to mention this listserv or what we are planning on doing - at all. If anything I hope we are all excited by it! Most of us live in the US and last I checked there is free enterprise and that includes forming of non profits organizations and listservs! Has anyone read "Fast Food Nation", my opinion here, but it is like we have all been working in a Meat Processing Plant and don't know our basic rights as people in the US. Just my personal analogy based upon my experience and observation here.
