We currently live in Charlottesville, Virginia because it is closest to UVA and my husband works for GE, which is not far. I am a part-time Editor for Silverchair which publishes medical information, books, etc. I have also worked for Doubleday and other publishers as an editor (assistant). Since I am a full time Mom to our son who has CDH - he also goes to Kluges once a week now and has other OT and various other appointments time is - as you know fleeting. Sometimes it passes too quick. We also had to deal with a third re-herniation about 2 months ago. I just wanted to volunteer to help in any way. I also have many contacts with UVA and Kluges! I really need your help with the following right now: - Photos for 2007 calendar! Please e-mail your photos to membership@cherubs-cdh.org with your cherub's name in the e-mail. Please keep the file size under 500K. If you're not sure if you sent one or if I received it, just send it again. 1 photo per cherub please. Survivors and Non-Survivors! - Stories! Again, please send to membership@cherubs-cdh.org with your cherub's name in the e-mail. If you're not sure if you sent one or if I received it, just send it again. Updates are welcome too. Stories will go into the book as well as the newsletter. Survivors and Non-Survivors! - I need a scanned image of a CDH x-ray. I know lots of you have copies of your cherubs' x-rays and I need one to use as part of the site redesign. - I need a flash web designer to create a flash movie on CDH. It's not my greatest talent and I don't have time to do it the justice it deserves. I know there are many graphic designers here. - I need a Database guru with web experience. Again, it's not my greatest talent and I don't have time to do it the justice it deserves. - Volunteers. We always need volunteers. We also need a group of 3 Volunteer Coordinators so that there is always someone available to help volunteers get started and to keep our volunteers going smoothly. - Proof Reader for the Cherubs Books.
